Exclamation Rear end bracket welding (NEED HELP!!!)

I am about to buy a Dana 44 out of a wagganear Tomorrow I’m going to meet the guy, the only problem I have with it is that I don’t know how to weld the bracketry so that it would fit into my1997 TJ. I know some of you guys hear are certified welders and could possibly help me out with this. I would really appreciate it if you guys could help me out with the welding and the gears. I know a lot about gears I just don’t really remember the back lash part. Your help would greatly be appreciated!

i live in encino, ca 91316 if any one is in the san fernando vally mess me thanks.

Thanks,
-Ron

So if you know enough to weld them but don't want to do it yourself, how about you clean up the axle and tack everything in place and then see if anyone is willing to weld it up for some CASH.

Oh you wanted a certified weldor? Well, I guess I am a certified stick weldor. So you want it stick welded?I was gonna use my super booger welder but if you hang out long enough and find the the time maybe someone with a Miller or a Lincoln or something will help you out.

You look You are uninformed. Props to you for knowing you are not up to the task of doing this work but you should stop there. You do not need a certified welder for axle brackets, you do not want it stick welded ( although it is possible just not the most practicle) you do not want chromoly electrodes, Weld mild with mild and most weld 4130 with mild filler unless heat treating or normilization is gong to take place. A d44 has a cast center section with mild steel tubes.
Find a shop willing to do the work for you, Chris ( he offered to help for $75 per hour), HMF in ventura or 4xdoctor in Burbank could do the work. Ask to see past work, if you are satisfied with what they show you then you can press more on the method or equipment. remember these guys do this stuff for a living they know better than you what will work. If you are paying for work then ask away and get it done the way you want. But beggers can't be chosers.
