Stolen Rubicon San Diego (El Cajon)

06 Rubicon stolen from Parkway Plaza last night. Did have a LoJack.

"06, Rubicon, 33" tires, lots of purple on it (Rubicon stickers, roll cage, bolts on rock sliders, shock boots, rear light lenses all purple). Personalized plate is RubyTJ.
Has Tierra Del Sol plaque and custom tire rack on back."

I'm sure it's south by now, just thought I'd toss this out for others to stay alert.
PS Not my heep but a fellow club member's

My son lost his TJ out of the drive way in Rancho San Diego just before christmas. there is a rash of jeeps being taken all over the southland and they really like the ones with all the bells and whistles. Sorry to hear about your loss, we know exactly what your going through. Post some pics asap. Hope you had insurance coverage?

Local cop chopper was watching a group of car thieves. They stole a newer Rubicon from local off road shop, in and gone in under a minute. Cops arrested thieves and returned Rubicon before theft was even noticed.

This theft last night took PD 1 1/2 hrs to respond and another 1 1/2 hrs to activate Lojack.

man I heard a jeep got stolen down here not too long ago. the guy found his jeep on some desert road. Not too dismantled, but still a lot was gone.

Man I dont know what I would do with myself if my baby got taken from me. I am also curious what your jeep looked like. did it have a bunch of goodies on the outside of it?

I don't drive my jeep every day, I do a couple things to my jeep every time I let it set over night so that if someone does try getting my jeep it either won't start or won't turn over at all and if it does then it won't run very good for very long. So unless they have a trailer and truck it should be good, I need to get the club so that way if they do get it then it will slow them down even more.

I've had a jeep stolen before and wish I could have been there to catch them....anyone have any ideas on things we can do to our jeep to help stop them from taking them?

Make an array of disconnects that need to be in the right combination for the truck to start. Like 10 switches with random on or off to turn the vehicle on. Get what im saying?

Also your battery disconnect and fuel disconnect etc etc.
I saw here on pirate, a guy made a lock box, every night he puts it in 1st, then lock both his t-cases in low. He claims they'll be screaming down the road at a whopping three miles an hour.

the "club" is that the big clunky thing that goes on your steering wheel? Is this worth it? I mean im sure it would slow them down. anyone have a good way to do the battery disconnect? like maybe a switch under the dash or somewhere tricky?
I am in SD also and really am nervous!

The Club won't slow them down much.
They'll just take a battery powered sawzall to the plastic steering wheel.

get a boot for your wheel. Its case hardened steel. If you get two of them they can't just change your locked wheel with the spare and drive it off.

where can you get a boot? I thought they were designed so you couldn't change it for a spare?
