It'll be a bit of a drive, about 2 hrs or so but Azusa canyon would be right up your ally. You can check the place out on YouTube.

Yup , Azusa Canyon is going to be the best place for you . I know there isn't much mud right now , but they are working on having some real soon . Check out WWW.ACORAUSA.COM

Ditch the rig & build a rock crawler you'll be a happy mud bug. I grew up in S.E. Texas on the Gulf & after wheeling here in SoCal I never want to see anymore mud holes.

Actually, last time I was back that way (Texas) I went wheeling with some guys & was bored out of my mind compared to what I have in San Diego now. Hell, when they said to bring my quad to the sand bank to hang out I was the only person there on a real quad & not some 4x4 on 20" ATV rims

Plus, the 2hr drive to Azusa Canyon compared to the 30-45min drive to some of SoCal best wheeling right in San Diego Remember this is the desert so water is not always year around. Lastly, if you decide to sell the bogger it will be a hard sale around here.

Maybe some of the mud bog parts could be used on a crawler. The mud in Azusa is nothing like the mud you are talking about. The guys in Azusa are nice guys and fun to hang out with but there is waaaaay more trails and rocks and almost every single person I've met have been really cool.

Most anything out here that has any water at all is an environmental sanctuary. Lots of dirt and rocks, lots of real cool sand if that's what your into. Socal is mostly all desert.

Most of this video was shot in Azusa Canyon . Some of it was is Truckhaven and Glamis , but almost all the mud scenes are Azusa Canyon . Only one is out in Perris : ‪Ultimate Joy Ride‬‏ - YouTube

the only mud we see in san diego is on the trails after a good rain, but no actual mud holes to play all day in. azusa is the only real mud place except for ocotillo wells after a good rain. you might be the only one in san diego with a mud truck btw.
