While goin out to Florence Junction yesterday morning I came across a Jeeper that had a rollover and loss his life. His name, John, Lived in Apache Junction, I knew him and he would help anyone and often did from everything from recoveries to swappin axles/motors and the such in his workshop. He will be missed immensely.

THey were lookin for any and all help, from crowd control (keep people off the course) to general setting up the event. THey mentioned something about feeding you while your there and you get "all" access to all areas while there. If ya search on the web a little maybe W.E. site ya might find out more. It's a good deal if ya got a free day or 2 and wanna see what it's all about up close.

Sorry to hear about John the Jeep guy. Where did he roll-over at? Seatbelts involved? There's been too many deaths out in FJ lately with off-roaders!

I'd like to check out the Thunder Rock Park (W.E. Rock event). Sounds like the natural courses may have potential in this area with a mix of desert racing events also being held there.

Thanks for the condolences, He had a rollover on the east bound on-ramp at Tomahawk and Hwy 60. I'm not sure about his seatbelt but his daughter had to have her seatbelt cut in order to get her out of the jeep that ended on it's roof about 70 feet down a slope off the side of the on-ramp. I'm not sure about any deaths that have occurred out at Florence Junction.

I think the W.E. Rock event might be a nice event to go watch. I'm glad we have an evnt like this nearby. I think all that can should go and watch so it stays as a local event. Better than drivin all the way over to Johnson Valley Ca.

Table Mesa run /forum/usa-southwest/1040493-1-28-1-29-tm-anaconda.html

There is a run going up to Crown king and the people should be at the airdown (at end of paved road near north end of Lake pleasant) at around 9:45- 10:00.

Also some people are going out to Table Mesa on the 28th at 9:00 AM to run Pred and Lower Term. I think their meeting at the Btg camping spot. I'm thinkin about goin.

No Mike, I was just sayin that something around here is better than nothing and then add the drive to KOH (driving to me has turned into a PITA, use to like it, actually enjoy it). Course, imagine if ya lived in the Midwest or East coast, that would really suck.

No W.E.ROCK Congress will not be like a week or 2 at KOH

But it will be a fun event and the rocks and the Thunder Rock OHV Park are some of the best I've seen for a comp.

Yes we are looking for event volunteers, we need all types of help as we have always said there is no way we can do these events without local support.

Please feel free to call me, pm, email or send smoke signals....

We will be back on site the Monday after KOH....

AJ or Glendale? Not exactly close to each other. Anyways, there's Thunderbird Cylinder on University at about 35th Street or Ramsey welding in Glendale.
