Wheeling the AZ high country

Im pretty familiar with wheeling around the valley and have been interested in finding places to wheel up in the high country. If there are any of you who know of any good trails around payson and into the white mountains, guidance would be much appreciated.

I see you've said you have been wheeling around the valley, Is Florence wheeling better than Table Mesa?

Grab one of these books from Barnes and Noble. It is a pretty thick book with many trails all over the state.

Payette draw outside of Payson is pretty fun. It has some optional lines that can be quite challenging. Get a hold of the High Country Renegades for a tour.

I haven't been to the high country to do much wheeling, but have been to FJ the whole two years I've been wheelin'. Upper and Lower Wood Pecker, Highway to Hell, Ajax, Box Canyon (BTW not as hard as everyone makes it out to be, it's pussy Crap, I can do it in two wheel drive) You've also got Sycamore Creek, Butcher Jones...I would like to try the Broken Arrow trail thats in Sedona, and a few others that are on the other side of Mingus Mountain in Clarkdale.

You might not like Broken Arrow all that much, cool scenery but it is definitely pussy crap. I know a guy who did it in 2wd, open AMC20 w/2 piece shafts, 2.73's all on 33's without a problem. I am sure anyone with the clearance coulde do it in 2wd...the stairs are fun backwards though and there is one cool optional crack...but that's it.
