Arizona (prescott) what kind of terrain?

I have been sick of Norhtern Cali for awhile and the wife is finnally feeling the same way. The wife has family in Presott Valley. Taking a long weekend trip the first weekend of October.

This is not intended to affend anyone or there wheelin style.

Looking on Craigslist at rock crawler's for sale just to get an idea of the condition of the area's rigs is a good indication of the trails that are there. Holy crap!! Rigs are beat hard, not a straight piece of sheet metal on alot of them. Is it typical for a very capable rig to get pretty beat up, or is it that rig owners just dont care?

I have run just about every trail here in Nor Cal (Rubicon, Barrett Lake, Fordyce etc) and can still drive my rig home with no worries. Bare in mind I dont take the pussy line, but I dont beat on it either.

I have seen video's of trails down there that are pretty hard core, (waterfalls) Is that the norm of the trails there, or is there comparable to trails here like the Rubicon? I love wheelin, dont want to sell my Toyota but wondering if selling it here and getting a full tuber buggy trailer qween would be wiser?

Thanks for any input.

Very cool links loco. I will be making my trip to Prescott Valley here in a couple weeks, check out the local Dodge dealer employment situation. Not sure if any of you would be framilier with the last name of Tucker. Good country folk. The move for my family would be for a better quality of life and raising my daughter.

There are a few around. A couple SET trails too.
TM is a good spot. Clarkdale has a couple. Both are about an hour towing from here.

i recomend picking up a copy of "Built to grind".. gives you a good idea of the tougher trails that we have in AZ. but there are also allot of scenic trains that take you thru old mine and ghost towns...

Are there an maps showing the trails? I have a group that would like to go to Arizona in at the end of March and looking for some good trials. Some scenic and some challenging. All vehicles are are capable as we run Johnson Valley, Parker, AZ area, Rubicon, Moab to name a few.
