2004 Blue DRZ 400S 800 miles, armored, no power mods, $3700obo in MD

I have a 2004 DRZ 400S that I bought 2.5 years ago. At the time it was bone stock and had 270 miles on it. Since then I have done the following:

Zeta Handguards
TT Case savers
MSR lengthened shifter
Loc-tite fixes
Moose Skidplate
3.5" Rox Speed Handlebar Risers
Kenda K270s front and rear
Rim Locks front and rear
Ultra Heavy Duty tubes front and rear
Custom rear rack

The bike has been ridden very intermittently with the exception of one 500 mile trip across WV. The bike now has 8xx miles on it, and that will change as I still ride it a bit here and there. The oil was changed when I got the bike and when I got back from the WV trip. I have a filter and oil to do one more oil change which I can do prior to sale, or include the supplies with the bike. This bike has been well cared for and never crashed. I am a novice rider, so I never did any power mods because I wanted to become comfortable before I upped the HP. I have realized that while riding is fun, it's not for me and I have too many other hobbies that consume my time and $$.

I'm looking to get $3700 OBO out of the bike. It's located in Derwood, MD(near Rockville/Olney) and I am willing to travel a reasonable distance to meet up with a buyer. I also work in Arlington, VA if that is more convenient for you. Title is in hand free and clear.

Thumbs up

How do you like the K270's? I have an '09 DRZ with 20K miles on it now. It's about ready for it's 4th set of tires.

Good luck with the sale.

The K270s are great for hard pack dirt/gravel roads. In thick mud or really loose dirt they're not as grippy as I'd like. If you ride a lot of straight asphalt(commuting for example), they will flatten out a bit in the middle and howl.

All in all, I think they're an excellent true dual sport tire, but not a great strictly offroad tire or onroad tire.

Bump! Price drop to 3500OBO

Looking for lots of different parts. Could do whole or partial trade, or even throw money in on top of the bike.

I'm ready to make a deal on this bike. Someone make me an offer I can't refuse.

Will trade for 37-40" MTR Kevlars, Built 1-tons, Atlas, etc.
