Feeler post, looking mainly to trade for a 4 door JK.
This is a 1967 Pontiac Firebird 400, (her nickname is GunPlay) 400 engine, TH 400 transmission with several extra upgrades towards a pro-touring direction. Aside from the new bumpers and new windsheild, all of the sheetmetal and glass are original.
Powerful V8 400 (6.6L)
Performance built Rochester Quadrajet
upgrades include:
-about 4 year old BMW M3 Gunmetal paint, looks great
-new 4 wheel disc brake and booster\mc - these are 4th generation LS1\Firebird\Camaro\Corvette type brakes larger 13" rotors, etc
- new front suspension is all new redone with less than 200 miles; new upgraded sway bar, tubular control arms upper and lowers, lowered springs (no rubbing), also half turn cut to adjust stance.
-reduced ratio alum starter
-new windshield
-aluminum radiator
New HEI and other misc items
-Front power Black leather seats from Firebird WS6
-several extras I will include (exhaust, headers, Edelbrock Intake, new headliner in box), etc
-chrome stainless trim was plasti-dipped black over the original (Looks clean and more pro-touring\modern)
What she needs:
-interior needs finishing, I added 4th gen Pontiac black seats on the front that match the rear black seats, I have the door panels out (had some protouring plans to the car interior I can share details on). The dash and interior have not being repainted remain original, should be painted. I was planning to recover all surface to a more modern look custom leather and suede.
-engine bay needs cleaning up, I was going to repaint the interior fender wheels black and detail the engine. Looks pretty close to when I got her, survivor style, not cleaned up but original
-the paint I would say is a7-8 out of 10. It is a new BMW M3 gunmetal color (I have the name but believe Silver Gray) Paint details: one minor blem on the hood about a dime size - hood closed with carb filter rod pushed up and dented. The dent was professionally dinged back, however the paint in the area can be touched up, minor. the passenger rear quarter panel has some bubblng at the bottom behind the rear tire. It is not major, and it did not seem to be rust, looked like bad preparation (does not look like rust bubbles). Third item, the very low part of the front fender on the driver's side has a small ding, jasckstand. not major.
Clean title, registered, original California black plates,
Some older pics of the car attached: the suspension and disc brakes upgrades happened after these pics, and a few other minor changes. I am selling as I am building a car for my wife, 68 convertible Firebird. I also have a painted matching color rear spoiler, not yet installed.
If interested let me know; I am located by Pleasanton, CA. As this is a classic 40 plus year old car, I would like the buyer to inspect the car in person to avoid any issues with the transaction.
Price: I am looking for a trade for a JK Unlimited 4 door, ideally hardtop and some upgrades done. Otherwise, looking for $20K cash which is a lot less than what I have on the car right now.
Cheers
Gui
