Custom Built Rock Crawler

Still trying to sell this beast. It's a 91 YJ built to the max. Please visit www.martinsbackhoe.com to see lots of pics and a full spec sheet. I am located in NC but will travel for a sale or trade. Over $27,000 invested. Will consider reasonable offer or trade.

Thank You

I just added some pics of it in action in it's early stages. Since it has been completed it only has 6 miles on it.

How about some more details the pics are good but really doesn't tell the story. also set a price as to what you want for it. Your price can be OBO. BTW, it looks very nice.

The jeep is located in Hamlet, NC. Between 5 and 6 hours from Atlanta. The price is listed under the info and specs. The only things that were reused on this rig were the body and chasis. Every nut and bolt are brand new and all receipts have been kept. Over $27K worth. There is only 6 miles on the completed project. I specified reasonable offer under the info so I guess you could say OBO. It's not actually my Jeep. It's my friend's and I'm helping get the word out for him since he is computer illiterate. (at least he can build a nice rig!) Feel free to email him or call him with any questions or offers as he is really anxious to find it a new home. His email and contact info are listed on the site under info and specs or I'll keep checking back here. Thank you all for your interest.

Brian

The only price I can find is the $27,000 invested... Is that what he wants?! Post a price or risk deletion of this thread. I remember this rig from before, I thought he wanted less then that but not by much, true?

I clearly stated in the first post of this thread,

"Over $27,000 invested. Will consider reasonable offer or trade."

He originally wanted 25 firm.

$27,000
$25,000
$ORO
$OBO

Hopefully this is a little more clear.

What has been invested should give an idea of what something is worth. If you have 27 grand in top of the line brand new parts it's going to be worth something in the reasonable ball park. If there is 5 grand invested in low end parts then it may be a different situation. Anyone that knows anything about rigs can look at the spec sheet and see that this is not the run of the mill $9,000 YJ. He is just looking for a reasonable offer to start negotiations. I guess I could clarify even further by saying:

$27,000 invested. Price negotiable. Make an offer and we'll start from there.

p.s.
I'm going to be listing this rig on Ebay sometime this week.

I think you will get a realistic price from ebay to rethink its $25,000 value. As clean as the rig is it doesn't have fuel injection, coilovers or coil spring linked suspension. These are some items that tend to bring top doller. It does have everything else though. This is definetly one of the cleanest rigs I have seen. I look forward to watching it on ebay so please do post or PM a link.

To give you an idea of what I have noticed getting the $20,000+...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

That was the last rig I have seen get the kind of money your talking about friend. I expect yours to hit the mid to high teens. I would give $15,000 for it if it was streetable.

The guy who bought that rig on Ebay for that kind of cash was crazy, you can get such a nice rig for around 20 that they make that one look like crap, which it does. That rig didnt have even a high pinion 60! No Atlas II, Shoddy looking tube work, God that guy wasted his cash.

It took some time but it didn't cost me anything to keep it. I finally sold it for $20,000.00 even. I figured out that it takes patience to get want you want out of a rig. I got it!

Great looking rig! I am glad you sold it, and got what you needed out of it. I have watched a lot of rigs going for so much less that they are worth, I wonder why more people dont part them out!

I myself have a TJ that we have about $45K into, and it would go for maybe 15,000. So, I consider myself an owner til I die or cant drive any more..

Cheers!
John
