1974 Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer 710m
1974 Steyr-Puch 710m Pinzgauer
My Pinzgauer is in wonderful mechanical shape. I just had it into the local Pinzgauer repair shop here in Colorado and it got a clean bill of health. The body is in decent shape as well. There are a few minor nicks from off-roading, but they do not detract visually from the vehicle. There are a few rust spots on the body as well, but these are typical for a truck of this age. Most all of the rust is in the bed of the vehicle.
4cyl. air cooled
I have done numerous modifications to the vehicle:
-spray-on bed liner. (cab & bed)
-Air compressor & On-Board Air system w/tank (run your air-tools from the vehicle)
-Reclining Seats from Honda CRX
-Civilian Ignition Conversion
-Custom rear folding step
-Front and rear dome lights
-brand new windows on rear canvas
-CB radio & antennae
-300 watt Amplifier
-Infinity 6.5" speakers
-5 Super Swamper LTB tires 34x10.5x16 95%+ (spare never used)
-Hub steps (front)
-24v to 12v converter
-reverse lights x 4 (both shifter actuated and switch actuated)
-electric windshield washer pump
-new fuel gauge
-carbs. rebuilt less than 200 miles ago
-new brake shoes / pads less than 200 miles ago
-removable door hinges
-Only driven 2-3 times a year since March 2001
-55282km on odometer
-44340km when purchased (driven 6800 miles in 6 years)
-new shock cord
-side hooks replaced
-2 new batteries
The vehicle will drive up, over, and through practically anything. It has hydraulically actuated lockers both front and rear. It also has a shift on the fly transfer case. It has a crawl ratio of 58:1 , so going slow is not a problem. It is a 1-ton vehicle. Seating capacity in its current configuration is 8, but if you choose to remove the air tank it can be increased to 10. There is 16” of ground clearance under the center of the differential. It can drive over a 5 gallon pail without touching. The clearance is even higher over the axles. This has been a reliable vehicle that I was not afraid to take anywhere. I am selling it because I have a small child (1.5yrs) and honestly there is no safe place for a car-seat that would make me feel comfortable. I loved this truck and took excellent care of it. I am sad to see it go. Pinzaguer's in my opinion are the most capable four wheel drive offered from the factory anywhere in the world.
I changed the fluids in the vehicle regularly. (Oil, Lockers, T-case, Transmission, Hubs, differentials, and brakes)
The vehicle comes with a full set of chains for all four tires.
It also comes with all of the factory tools, tow strap, hydraulic jack, shovel
Included will be a Owners manual in English as well as a Service manual on CD and in a binder.
I also have a box full of parts and miscellaneous items I removed.
The vehicle easily passes smog in Denver, CO
feel free to call ,e-mail or PM any questions you have. The vehicle is located in Loveland, CO about 1 hr drive north of Denver.
plenty of pictures on request.motivated seller
I'm asking $11,500

Bump for a nice truck. I have seen a few of thses at work in Big Bear & they do very well. Too bad it is so far & I am a little short on cash (unless you want to work some sort of trade). Good luck with it.
Why do people buy 4X4's that don't ever see dirt?
