1969 Chevy C20 3/4ton pickup - camper edition, runs GREAT and clean

New price of $3200.00

For the pirate crowd: I typed this ad up to use other places as well, but this would make an awesome tow rig. I drive it daily, and would have no problem driving it to the other side of the country...

Truck is for sale for a firm price of $3200. I will have it for sale until mid to late May, but will be keeping it if it doesn’t sell by then. I will be moving soon and not having to move the truck will make my life easier, but if I end up keeping the truck during the move I can’t wait to start rebuilding it! I don’t want to sell, and am firm on the price. Here is the breakdown:

Engine: GM Goodwrench crate 350 w/40k and factory A/C. Runs very strong and has been updated to brand new HEI ignition (new cap, rotor, coil, plugs, wires and wiring to fuse box – runs stronger, better mileage, more reliable and hotter spark). Engine has new fuel filter, hoses, belts and air filter. Battery is in good/ new conition and has no issues holding a charge. Power steering has some duct tape on hoses, but doesn’t seem to leak at all. Engine bay is clean and radiator is in good condition. Fuel is delivered to the engine via mechanical fuel pump and Quadrajet carberator.

Transmission: TurboHydramatic 400 Auto tranny (TH400). Heavy duty transmission shifts smoothly feels like it is in excellent mechanical condition. I don’t know if it’s original or rebuilt – mileage unknown. Truck has no weird mechanical noises in any part of the drivetrain, and transmission doesn’t slip.

Axle: Eaton ho52 rear axle w/3.73 gear ratio appears to be in perfect mechanical condition.

Suspension: Coils front and rear (rear suspension is a trailing-arm setup).

Body & Paint: Body appears to be extremely clean and rust free (with the exception of some surface rust underneath – definitely not the BAD kind of rust though by any means). Front inner fenders are orange so I assume they were replaced at some point. Cab drip rails appear to be rock slid with no signs of rust at all. Truck bed has some sort of liner in it, and has some dents etc. from hauling over the years, but normal wear and tear. Body panels are all very straight, with white paint and silver trim. Rear bumper has trailer wiring plug and hitch has been installed on frame (class IV?). Side note: some truck of this year look like they’re ‘folding in half’ because the cab doesn’t line up just right with the bed. This truck lines up perfectly. Bed is a longbed fleetside, and ALL exterior lights work great. Mirrors have been ‘shaved,’ but I have the stock mirrors, which are in great condition if you want to reinstall.

Interior: Seat has been re-upholstered, carpet and door trim has been replaced. Interior is very clean and looks amazing for a truck built 39 years ago! Steering column has been cleaned/ lubed so that it shifts effortlessly and smoothly, and blinker lever is crisp and cancels correctly after a turn. Dash is uncut and in perfect condition, and all gauges work great. Air conditioning needs to be recharged, and heat works but fan doesn’t currently come on (fuse?). Still heats the truck when moving. Also, windshield wipers are new and work great.

Brakes: All brakepads have material left on them and work great. No brake squealing or other noises at all, and braking is even and straight.

Spare Parts: I have an extra rear bumper, Sony AM/FM & Tape head unit and some small misc parts. I also have a complete front crossmember/suspenion/a-arms/disc brakes off of a 1990 ¾ ton suburban that is ready to clean and bolt to this truck to give it disc brakes. You can buy drop rotors to do the same thing, but I wanted to keep it 8-lug and update it to discs. Comes with matching brake master cylinder and all brake lines/bolts/hardware needed for swap. Also have the mirrors and spare tire.

Overall, truck is in great shape and perfectly capable of daily driving or hauling (I daily drive it right now…) Let me know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. Thanks for looking! Sorry so much info, but when I’m in your shoes I know I appreciate honesty and detail. Truck is located in Arcadia, CA 91006 (just east of Pasadena).

Here's another link to photos (should be same as above, but I clicked the one above and it wasn't working for me):

Also want to point out that the pictures were all taken by the previous owner about 6 months ago. Things like belts/hoses, new ignition etc aren't shown there... I can take some new pictures if anyone wants to see something specific...

by the way, 'supposedly' have two different guys coming by on Saturday to check it out. Make an offer! I'd rather have someone from PBB get it!

pic of the ass... I know that's what you guys (and girls!) want to see... This truck is CLEEAANN... It would be an awesome tow rig and works as a DD. Plus all you have to do is put a bunch of 2x4s in the stakeholes in the bed, bungee a giant tarp over it, and you have somewhere to camp...
