We pulled our Front 3rd out today to inspect and prep for Cinco de Baja!
Yukon N 3rd w/ load bolt
Yukon 5.43 gears
Yukon Spool

After 3 big races (including KOH) and a few trail rides we are happy to say its going back in to get beat on some more!

Looks great! Tell us more about what you are looking for during your inspection.

We go through it and check everything.
- Bearings in the hubs get greese
- Inspect shafts and joints (custom inners, w/ 35 spline stubs and Yukon Super joints)
- 3rd we look to make sure Ring gear bolts are not loose, pre load on everything, patern, With the new load bolt in it we look for wear and let me tell you there was some but the bolt did its job!

We used to change 3rds but with how everthing looked this bad boy is going back in!

I agree hp 9" (with a real 9" gear set) would be sweet! O-yea 35 spline also

hard to tell from the pics...did the load bolt ever touch the ring?

yes

IMO did its job! Im running a LP 9" on the front so on the coast side. Pulling the 3rd again this week to change the inner axle seal

I wouldnt bother except for the leak. Ill put up some more pics but dont expect any issue.

Yukon did send me a new load bolt. They didnt like how long this one looked sticking out of the 3rd haha. It was one of the first ones though I think. The new one is just a tad shorter.

He did . He examined it and discovered that it was still a yuk-on and his bolt was too long .
