Warn Premium 35 spline
I am a fan of Yukon, I have 35 Spline Chromo's front and rear. I run Warn premium 35 spline hubs and besides locking in the locked position, when they fail, what is the upside of these? My Warns are covered for the lifetime of the hub and I have replaced them twice already.

Yukon HardCore hubs are MUCH stronger than the Warn's, and about the same price. ![]() Precisions U Joints have a lifetime warranty as well. Spicer's have none. Which do you run? I know I will never run anything but Spicer. Just because it has as lifetime warranty, doesn't make it the best choice/strongest. Warranty is useless when you are out in the middle of nowhere and the item busts and leaves you stranded. Just sayin....

I've broken my fair share of Warn's, and did prototype testing for Yukon on these units. The difference is NIGHT AND DAY. I don't care how good your warranty is, doesn't do you any good if your shit is broken on the trail. The point is, these units are built to last, and they are strong. The little cheesy spring assembly that's on the Warn units does not hold up, and the internal hub part always brakes, these won't. I think I have some assembly pics of mine showing the individual components, I'll find 'em and post up. John

I carry a spare set of warn's because I have broken them so many times. I have the Yukon super joints and have not broken one yet, which is why I am asking the difference. If I can sell my spare pair of Warn's and replace them with these, great. Like I said, I am a fan of Yukon and would have no problem running these, just want to hear how much better they are.

Quote from the movie "Tommy Boy"
"I can take take a shit in a box and put a sticker on it that says guaranteed, but all you've got is a guaranteed piece of shit!" "OH NO, What did you do?" end quotes! Love that movie! Yukon goes above and beyond when researching and testing their ideas before that put them out as new product. Why put out another unit that's just the same as its predecessor? Yukon puts out only high quality and innovative products and that's why you would want these hubs! Later, Bobby CCOR

Most likely no. The D44 Warn hubs seem to be plenty strong.

Not sure this has been mentioned anywhere, but these are in both 30 and 35 spline flavor

Got mine last week and got them put on my 79 Ford 60 and the fit and finish is great. I can't wait to get some trail miles on them. Good job Yukon!

If I was to buy the 30 spline set for now (stock shafts), would I be able to just upgrade the inner gear to 35 spline later when I get different shafts?
Or would I have to buy a whole new set? Thanks, Jim |

I took apart my front end this weekend to install a Zip Locker. The hubs sealed it up tight, as there was no water or etc in there. Even though I had a couple deep water trails and mud bogs that I attended

Glad I saw this post. I've been looking for new locking hubs for my 03 F250. The one side won't move without a big wrench and I've had trouble getting it to stay in 4x4. Not a wheeler, but it gets used offroad for wood cutting and hauling trailers.

* Accepts internal style lockout hubs as well as drive flanges from most manufacturers including Solid Axle Industries' drive flange kits.
From their website you should not have a problem running these hubs
