Dodge Dana 60 CAD axle

do you make one piece right side axle shaft to eliminate the cad system on a 1997 dodge ram 2500 front dana 60?

I know they are working on it but dont think they are out yet. I can have a blank cut to fit that axle.

I also have a 4340 stub to fit that axle now using a Yukon shaft.

How much is a custom shaft to be cut providing it has the proper sections/diameters for the current seals? Thanks!

What is the cost on that stub? Will it fit the 2001.5-2002 axle also?

I may want one when I get locking hubs on my dodge D60. I'll want the 35 spline shafts for sure.

What can we do about the axle shaft seals though?

The part number you are looking for is YA W48221. This axle is 38" from center of u-joint to end of splines.

this is a 30 spline inner axle. we also offer it in a 35 spline upgrade if you are looking to do left and right axles

You sure? Thought Dodge inners (CAD era) were 32 spline?

I believe HEEPJEEP is correct, they are 32 spline. Its been a year since it has been apart and I forgot the spline count, but pretty sure they are 32. Do you have an axleshaft for 32 spline inner and a seal that works with the shaft?

according to the Dana tech website Dana Holding Corporation - The Expert Axle Bill of Material 1994-1999 Dana 60 front differentials use a 30 spline inner and 33 spline outter stub axles. 2000 they changed to 32 spline inners.

Are these designed to use the seal in the CAD? Or a seal at the end of the axle tube?

The seal would install behind the carrier bearing race like the standard D60 seals.

How much for left and right 35 spline inner axles for a 1997 truck. Can the spider gears be swapped for 35 spline ones? Can I get a price for the above plus the seals that are required.
Thanks

Never had mine apart that deep, and heard mixed stuff about the housing being machined to accept a standard seal, is it? Or does it need machining?

The seals that come with the kit are a "universal" seal. designed to fit in the axle tubes from 2 1/8" to 2 1/4 " and fit axle shafts that are 1 3/16" - 1 1/2".

As long as they are from a standard open carrier, they should work fine. Or you can purchase a YPKD60-S-35 internal parts kit - that contains the 35 spline side gears you are looking for.
