Rally racer to drive over 3000 miles across America’s toughest trails over two weeks using a variety of vehicles and BFGoodrich® Tires

Greenville, S.C. (April 8, 2014) – Professional rally driver and BFGoodrich Performance Team member Andrew Comrie-Picard is facing one of his toughest challenges yet as he embarks on an epic on and off-road journey, covering more than 3,000 miles over 16 days, throughout the wild west.

Starting in Los Angeles, Calif. on April 8th, Comrie-Picard, or ACP as he’s known, will discover playground Earth while driving over 3,000 miles through some of America’s most beautiful landscape and reaching remote lesser known locations along the way recording and sharing his adventures with the public.

This “Epic Drive On Playground Earth” puts an emphasis on off-road trails, using a variety of vehicles and tires to match the given terrain. The adventure will showcase the toughness of the BFGoodrich® Radial Long Trail T/A® tire, BFGoodrich® Rugged Terrain T/A® tire and the BFGoodrich® All-Terrain T/A®KO tire.

ACP’s route will take him through much of the western states of the U.S. including California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona. He will also pass well known American sights such as Joshua Tree National Park, Pikes Peak and the Grand Canyon and areas rarely viewed on a traditional road trip, making this an epic journey.

“This is one of the most exciting rides I’ve taken to date,” said Andrew Comrie-Picard.  “As any with an adventurous spirit, we are going to make the earth our playground on this journey. The legendary toughness of BFGoodrich® Tires is going to enable our team to see some of the most amazing places and people in some of the harshest terrain known to man.”

ACP is a professional rally racer, competing in events including the Score Baja 1000, the X-Games and Rally America.  He has five university degrees, including one from Oxford, UK and is a consulting producer for Top Gear USA.  He’s also the only BFG Performance Team member with both a law degree and an MBA.

To follow ACP’s adventures, real-time images, video and status updates will be posted at https://www.facebook.com/bfgoodrichtires and BFGoodrich Tires Twitter feed (@bfgoodrichtires) and instagram (bfgoodrichtires). ACP will be using #BFGPlay and #EpicDrives throughout the adventure.
