Alameda, CA – After wrapping up the SCORE Desert Series class 4 title last season Mike Shaffer and the Shaffer Motorsports team want more. They figured class 4 would draw more competitors last season when they decided to go for the title but the class did not take off as they hoped. OAKLAND, CA     MARCH 13, 2012   Shaffer-Motorsports car #401 won the San Felipe 250 in Class 4 last weekend in Baja, Mexico.  After a long week of prerunning and a 24 hour turn around to the US for a rebuilt transaxle, the team made the mad dash to the finish line with only 12 minutes separating them from second. King Shocks Racer Justin Davis survived a brutal San Felipe course to win his second SCORE race in a row. The desert that surrounds San Felipe is littered with deep, sandy whoops that punish a cars suspension and shocks. Justin and the Green Army Motorsports Team had a plan to go easy in the first half of the race to save the car and then go all out to the checkers. PHOENIX, ARIZONA – Hoping for a repeat of his 2010 San Felipe victory, Jesse Jones and the Jones Motorsports team headed to San Felipe, Baja California in search of another win. Phoenix, Arizona (March 16, 2010) — 11 years ago at the 1999 SCORE San Felipe 250, a guy from Phoenix on limited budget with a passion for racing rode his Honda quad to a first place finish in the Sportsman ATV Class.
