Fresno, CA – Trail-Gear Inc. launched three new products specially engineered for vehicles that are driven from the right hand side on Friday, August 10th. Right side drivers from all around the world will now be able to modify their Toyotas with Trail-Gear’s Six-Stud High Steer Arms, Fully Loaded Six-Shooter Knuckle Kit and High Steer Crossover Steering kit.
Trail-Gear’s Right Side Driver Six-Stud High Steer Arms are pressure forged from 8620 tool steel. They are engineered to fit on 1979 to 1985 Toyota Pickups and 4Runners and 1979 and later Land Cruisers with a mini truck conversion. All mounting surfaces have been machined to ensure the correct fit and prevent knuckle studs and ties rod ends from coming loose. The arms are angle compensated so the rod ends ride at the factory designed 90-degree angle. The Trail-Gear Fully Loaded Six-Shooter Knuckle kit for vehicles with a right side driving configuration eliminates the problem of broken steering knuckles and studs. The addition of two studs in each arm effectively prevents the steering arm from becoming loose or shearing off the studs under extreme loads. The knuckle housing was designed with thicker than stock material and larger gussets have been added around the outside of the knuckle for extra strength. Each set of knuckles and steering arms have been precision CNC machined, inspected and tested to ensure the highest quality. The Fully Loaded Six-Shooter kit includes a special six-hole shim pack for use between the top of the knuckle and the steering arm. Also included is a ½” coarse thread bolt to help remove the steering arm for knuckle service. The Trail-Gear Toyota Right Side Driver High Steer Crossover Steering kits were designed to keep up with the super flexible suspension systems that are available to rock crawlers and off-roaders today. The kit features solid forged steering arms, a heavy duty pitman arm, hefty .250” wall steering rods and rod ends, all precision fit for easy assembly. The kit is available with either a flat or standard Pitman arm, with four-stud or six-stud steering arms and for OEM, Rock Assault™ or +5 Tacoma axle housings.
