Walker Evans takes top honors in Cedar City!

Coming out of nowhere, Walker Evans took Cedar City by storm and beat Mike Shaffer (2nd place) more than 20 points! In a well deserved victory, Walker was all smiles. Here is an exclusive interview we had with Walker after the awards ceremony in Cedar City, Utah.

The courses were brutal, and the heat was even worse. Top names in the sport such as Johnny G and Joel Randall gave their all to keep their series standings, but it seems mother nature and Phil Collard had the last say. Phil Collard, the RCAA course designer, out did himself this weekend with tight, technical obstacles versus the typical point-and-shoot obstacles we have been seeing a lot of lately. It was a refreshing change that many competitors enjoyed.

What happened to the "Bull of the Woods"?
John Bundrant was on what looked to be an unstoppable streak, but he was sidetracked in Cedar City with mechanical problems. On obstacle A6 he suffered fuel problems which cost him 40 points. On day two he reportedly had additional troubles which landed him a 5th place finish for the weekend.
