10:38
Nazir Adam and Danny Rohrer will be up first. Nazir is from Penn Laird, VA, Danny is from Cincinnati, OH.
10:41
Both rigs are at the starting line.
10:47
National Anthem has been sang, rigs are fired up!
10:48
They're off!
10:52
Danny made quick work of both laps in Lane 2 - he had a smooth run
10:56
Nazir just finished the course in Lane 1. Lane 1 looks considerably more technical - there are some tight areas where it is easy to get hung up on trees and the rock areas look tough!
10:57
Stan Haynes and Kim Sears are on the course now!!
10:58
Kim is on her lid! Doesn't look like she will be able to save it.
10:58
Stan is running fast and just finished his first lap.
11:05
Stan is on the bump box!!! Just came across the finish line. Lane 1 gave him more trouble on his second lap - he ended up sideways on a nasty downhill section but was able to straighten out. They are removing Kim from the course
11:06
Levi Shirley and Adam Woodlee are up next! This should be good...
11:11
Still removing Kim from the course - rain is coming down again.
11:12
11:13
11:14
11:15
11:17
Levi and Adam are off!
11:21
Levi had a small fire that caused him to stop - they have it under control
11:23
Adam had some trouble with the nasty corner in Lane 2 where Kim flipped but managed to get through after a back up or two.
11:24
Buddy Daugherty and Kevin Crews are at the line...
11:30
Kevin had a close call when he was a little too close to a tree and the font left climbed up it. He saved it and finished. Buddy caught a banner and had to leave the course early.
11:31
Jason Ailif and Joel Withers are running now
11:32
11:32
11:32
11:35
Joel is on his side - he was trying to get his front end up on a large ledge in Lane 2 and tipped it.
11:44
11:45
Tony Rietdorf and Brian Shirley are off!
11:47
Brian Shirley rolled in Lane 2 during a hill climb. They had to stop Tony because Brian rolled into his lane. Brian is back on all fours and off the course now
11:53
Tony was re-started and finished clean.
11:54
11:54
Dave Smith and Will Carter are on the course now.

11:54
11:57
Will Carter rolled 20 ft after starting in the same place that Joel Withers rolled in Lane 2.
12:00
Dave Smith DNF'd
12:08
Ken Blume and Tim Cantrell are up next

Ken and Tim are off..
12:15
Tim Cantrell rolled on lap 1, lane2. Nolen Grogan saved the day! He put out a small fire and helped Tim out of the vehicle. Ken stopped due to the roll (his lane was blocked).
12:17
Readers, if you log into cover it live you can send us comments
12:27
Ken has re-started. He is on it HARD trying to get up a loose dirt hill.
12:27
Made it!
12:31
Ken is out of the vehicle at the bottom of a rock ledge - looks like they might DNF due to mechanical failure. We'll let you know what broke when we find out.
12:44
They are currently removing Tim Cantrell's buggy from the course so that Ken Blume can finish his run
12:44
Travis Watford and and Greg stone are running now. Greg nearly flipped but pulled an awesome save. However, he then built up too much speed during his save and tipped on his side about 50 feet later when his tire caught a dirt ledge.
12:46
Travis took out one of the banners (2 min time penalty) and already had over 3 min on the course so he was DQ'd (5 min is the max time).
12:46
Shawn Fisher and Dan McDonald are at the line now
12:51
Dan and Shawn just started thier race - Nolen just brought me more pics so I will get them up asap!
12:54
Dan rolled on the same hill climb where Tim Cantrell rolled earlier. BUT, Dan luckily landed on all fours and kept going!
1:02
Shawn Fisher DNF'd - he got caught on a nasty ledge. Dan finished with a nice run despite the roll
1:08
Next up was John Markovich and Brandon Haynes. Like most everyone else, Brandon nearly lost it in the nasty Lane 2 first corner (I will call it "Kim's Corner" from now on). Brandon pulled off an awesome save and ended up with what looked like a really solid run. John rolled while trying to climb a loose hill in Lane 1. He hit it hard and flopped on his side.
1:08
Adam Carter and Derek West are at the line now.
1:16
Adam and Derek just started and are both looking fast!
1:20
As for Derek West, all we can say is FAST, FAST FAST! Adam had a great run too, he had a little trouble on the nasty hill where John rolled but he conquered it and finished with a nice run.

I think Nolen is doing a killer job, he always seems to be in the right place at the right time! Great pics!
1:33
Round one is over, round two has begun. Danny Rohrer and Nazir Adam were up first, they both had solid runs this time - no major problems for either driver.
1:38
Now we have Kim Sears and Stan Haynes. Kim had a tough first lap but managed to get through however her transmission didn't appreciate it and didn't want anything to do with a second lap. After a nice smoke show, Kim and Droopy had to call it quits.
1:38
Stan Hanynes of Branik Motorsports had a strong run in lane 2

5 min = DNF or timed out.
1:58
Next race was Adam Woodlee and Levi Shirley. Adam had spun a 180 on the ledge where everyone else had trouble (we will call it the L1 Ledge from now on). He did a front dig, drove down the hill, turned around and successfully conquered the L1 Ledge.
2:00
Levi had a good clean run and showed us how nice a supercharged 3800 can sound at full throttle!
2:02
Next run was Kevin Crews and Buddy Daugherty. Kevin caught a few banners and left the course, Buddy rolled while exiting Kim's corner on Lane 2 Lap 2.
2:07
Jason Ailif ran by himself in Lane 2, Joel Withers was left sitting at the starting line with a mechanical problem. Jason had a good first lap but Kim's Corner got the best of him in Lap 2. He ended up on his side and couldn't recover unassisted.

The temp is up in the high 70's and the sun has came out a few times - this has turned out to be a great day for racing!
2:18
Brian Shirley and Tony Rietdorf just finished. Brian got hung up in the L1 rock garden but finally worked his way loose and finished an otherwise fast run. Tony rolled on an uphill ledge that spun him 180 degrees and landed him on all four tires. In one fluid motion, he kept on driving down the hill, turned around and tried again. Unfortunately, his luck ran out when he rolled a few hundred feet later on a tight off camber turn.
2:21
Dave Smith and Will Carter are running now...
2:31
Dave and Will both had nice solid runs.
2:33
Tim Cantrell and Ken Blume were the next to run. Ken rolled just before Kim's corner on Lap one. Tim Cantrell had a fast run - so fast that he almost ran another lap! Guess he was in a groove and just wanted to keep going...

Greg Stone and Travis Watford just finished. Greg had a good solid run, Travis lost something in the front driveline - sounded like a busted ring and pinion.
2:56
Dan McDonald and Shawn Fisher are up next. This heat is straight up CARNAGE! Dan lost front wheel drive halfway through but proceeded. He hammered it up a steep ledge in 2wd but shortly after got turned sideways wasn't able to get lined back up. Shawn had a good run but 3/4 through he had a rear full float axle shoot out of the hub during a full throttle hill climb. Shawn still finished!
3:02
Brandon Haynes and John Markovich were next. Brandon had a nice clean run, John caught on fire but they were able to extinguish the flames and he continued. The fire then re-started as he finished the course.
3:06
That concludes the second heat. Times will be up soon. The rain has been stopped for several hours now and the course seems much faster now. Hopefully it stays like this for a while!!!

The last heat will just be one lap. Nazir Adam and Danny Rohrer started it out with a nice, smooth, and fast run.
3:25
Kim is out do to trans failure so Stan Haynes ran alone. The rock ledge just down from Kim's corner is getting a little nasty. Stan was held up there for a bit but made it through and finished smooth.
3:31
Levi Shirley and Adam Woodlee just finished their third heat. Levi had some trouble in the Lane 1 lower rock garden but still pulled out a nice run. Adam had a good run that included a wicked hill climb wheelie!
3:38
Buddy Daugherty and Kevin Crews are lined up. Buddy came off the starting line HARD in his Orange Rock Hard Racing buggy. Kevin rolled on a off camber hill climb resulting in a fire. Spectators and Crew members put out the flames with anything they could find. Daugherty is now stopped until the course can be cleared.
3:42
Buddy just re-started and finished with what should be a good time.
3:42
Jason Ailiff and Joel Withers are on the course now
3:48
Jason showed us why his team name is Team Kamikaze. His fifth attempt on the lower rock garden of Lane 1 was a successful full throttle assault. Didn't look like he let off of the throttle until he crossed the finish line. Joel had a great run.

Brian Shirley is wrenching away on his rig but couldn't make it to the start line. Tony Reitdorf is running solo - looked like another great run for Branik Motorsports.
3:59
Dave Smith and will carter are running their third heat now. Dave and his Five-O ride got hung up in the Lane 1 rock garden - that thing is rough now that they are running over it in the opposite direction. Will Carter was stopped because his window net fell down.
4:00
Ken Blume and Tim Cantrell just finished. Ken had a fast time through the tough Lane 1 rock garden and Tim had a nice run also.
4:04
Travis Watford didn't make it to the start line so Greg Stone ran by himself. Greg tipped over and is putting on a smoke show for us now. He is back on all four tires and was able to drive it off of the course.
4:14
Adam Carter and Derek West just finished, both had excellent runs! Adam made quick work of the rock gardens on Lane 1 and finished with what will surely be another super fast time. Derek was smooth and fast too. These two are a great pairing, they are both quick, smooth and consistent.
4:16
Nazir Adam and Danny Rohrer had drama free runs, Stan Haynes just ran solo and flipped a few hundred feet shy of the finish line.
4:18
Levi Shirley and Adam Woodlee are lining up now...
4:22
I know I am starting to sound like a broken record but we have had two more great runs. Levi and Adam both ran great heats. I bet the times will be close for almost everyone! The track seems really fast right now.
4:25
Buddy Daugherty drove about 50' on four wheels then caught a ledge and drove another 50' on two wheels, then flopped. Lined up next to him was Kevin Crews lost his rear wheel drive and had to stop for a bit - he was able to fix the problem and finished the course.
4:28
Joel Withers just ran solo, he had a good run.
4:32
Brian Shirley is back! He just ran against Tony Reitdorf. Brian was on the throttle hard the whole run and finished clean. Unfortunately, Tony got tangled up in a banner and had to take a 2min penalty but finished.
4:39
Dave Smith and Will Carter just finished up. Will's run was perfect except for one back up on the big Lane 1 rock garden. Dave got hung up a few times and had to do a few back ups but had no major issues.
4:40
CORRECTION: Tony Rosco Rietdorf did not catch a banner earlier in round three, his run was clean.
4:42
Ken Blume and Tim Cantrell just finished. Ken finished clean and fast, Tim had a nice run but got into a banner on the last hill climb.
4:43
Greg Stone just ran solo and had a smooth run. Dan McDonald is on the course now (also running solo) and ran a nice race as well.
4:51
Brandon Haynes just finished another clean race, In the other lane was John Markovich. John attacked the first rock garden with a vengance and bounced right through. After that he drove out of a sweet downhill reverse wheelie.
4:58
Adam Carter and Derek West just finished the final heat. They were lighting fast again - I bet these guys have the top two times!
5:09
The top six finishers have just been announced! Tony Reitdorf and Tim Cantrell, Adam Carter and Levi Shirley, Derek West and Brandon Haynes.
5:13
Tony and Tim ran first, both had great, clean runs.
5:15
Adam and Levi were next, Adam had another smooth run but Levi rolled on an uphill climb and slid back down on his side. The roll resulted in small fire.
5:18
Derek West and Brandon just finished, two more great runs.
5:25
Tony and Tim finished their second run. Tim had a great run but Tony had some challenges. He got sideways in Kim's Corner but was able to get it straight again. Then he rolled it on an uphill climb but was able to save it and try again. He then rolled it again and ended up in the banners but landed on all fours and was able to drive off of the course.
5:26
Adam Carter and Levi Shirley are up next.
5:33
Levi didn't make it to the stat line so Adam ran by himself. Don't guess I have to tell you how Adam did - another excellent run!
5:35
Derek and Brandon are finished - Brandon had to back up in one of the rock gardens on both laps but other than that these guys were slick.
5:35
Now for the final results - this is gonna be close!
