The picture of the whole in his pan looks like a truck pan which are about 8" deep. So a 5" kevko pan would be a good option but you could also go with an ls2 pan or f-body pan if you don't want to go to an external oil filter.
search around on here before making a switch though. the car oil pans have the pickup much farther forward and you really need to use an accumulator with them and if you have the f-body pan an Improved Racing baffle potentially as well. Quite a few people have kevko pans and they work as advertised but the fit and finish is pretty bad and you may have problems getting it to seal along the back edge. Dave Cole says he had a similar problem with his Kevko pan.
My Kevko pan dented even with a skid underneath it so there's no way an engine mounted skid will hold up to how we race.
