Rooftop tent on factory crossbars 2011 suburban?

Anyone run a rtt on their factory bars? Any damage or issues? Problems? I think dynamic load wouldn’t be an issue as my cpt weighs 160 or so, but static load with two folks on the roof....

Look for a rating. Owners manual, google, etc. I bet it will be nowhere near strong enough.

I fabricated a new roof rack for my 95 because i didn't like the way the oem one handled a 17' aluminum canoe. When i first got the truck the oem rack looked pretty beefy compared to what i was used to...

It was worth the effort to fab one for sure.

Right here. You can most likely go off the OEM bases (cut and fab to them) and make whatever size platform you need and add other attachment points as well for other uses too. Be creative here.....
