Driveshaft question

Currently running an NP203 with a fixed yoke front output on my '75 K10. I'm swapping in an NP205 with a flanged front output. Being just west of Chicago I can't find a flanged front driveshaft for a Chevy. If I bought a flange for the driveshaft, can I just install it on the driveshaft and bolt it to the fixed flange on the 'case? Or is there something completely different between the driveshaft from a fixed to a flanged?

You need to check if the 205 is a early 10spl front output or the later 30spl.

If its a 30spl you can just put the flange on the 205 but the shaft length wont be right and you might need a new dline made any how.

If the cv isnt perfect the dline shop will want to change it in which case you should have just stayed with the yoke cv to begin with.

Step 1 check the splines
Step 2 measure your dline ONCE ITS INSTALLED.
