Definitely, I'd love to get down to Greyrock sometime in the near future...it has been awhile.

I've put a couple weekends of work in on the rig. The new frame rails are in, the engine is bolted up, and got the motor mounts fabbed up. I ended up running an 04ish 6.0 flywheel, with a 12" clutch from a 90ish 350, and LS1 pilot bearing. I also picked up a HF tubing roller, along with Swag Offroad weld on wing kit and dies. I need to order a radiator this week. After that comes in and I get it mounted, I'll be ready to start rolling some tube.

moar updates. i pushed mine way back through the firewall and cut off the frame yesterday. what did you tell jim's to do to your computer to tune it, delete things, etc. i need to get mine shipped out as well, but dont have the first clue what to ask of them. what is your deadline? or should i say expected deadline, since these are never on time.

Hell buddy...I didn't even know you were doing a swap right now. I haven't sent the computer to Jim's yet, but I'll be getting him to remove VATS, all emissions, along with a tune. I'm sure I'll be learning just as much as you will when I talk to him. I've only begun to scratch the surface of what I need to know. Everyone that I know that has used him say he is extremely cool to work with. Deadline is late spring to early summer. I tossed around the idea of moving the motor back into the firewall. I'd like to see what you did. You've got a build thread somewhere don't you? As far as updates go, I'm waiting on another piece from Swag, for my bender. I had an issue with it not closing all the way, so he's sending me some extension arms to take care of it.

I cut the majority of the cab tunnel and firewall out, as well as most of the frame

Picked up Benzies bender tonight. Hopeful to have it sprung by tuesday. I email Jim's and got a reply already, seems like a way to deal with kinda dude.

Sneeze you gonna swap out the truck intake? Or build some bouncer style cage around it?

Holy hell! You've hacked up that cab as much as mine. No judgement here...some of my stuff looks like it belongs in the ghetto fab thread. I though long and hard about getting the short shaft kit for the 465 and moving everything back. I'm glad I didn't now that I'm seeing what you're gonna have to do.

The truck intake will be staying. There will definitely be some bouncer-esque protection going in there. I hope to get started on that this weekend.

Thanks man! Put in a little time on the rig and got a good start on the tube work. I'm not sure I like the headlight hoops. I may play around with that a little more. I also made a fan shroud for my radiator a little while back. I trimmed down the stock Taurus fan shroud and bolted it to the new sheet metal shroud. The radiator is a Summit 26X19 double pass. I still have to get a fitting tig'd in there for the steam port.

Updates...I've been working at a snail's pace. I have 90% of the tube work done on the front end. My radiator mounts are done...just have to find the right isolating material for it. Cleaned all the old shit off the 60 and extended the old truss to the inner c's. My ram mount is done. The whole right side removes with the diff cover. The grille is done, with all lights mounted. I spent most of yesterday working on the york mount, trying to put it on the passenger side. I ended up scrapping that and decided to go driver's side. I ought to have that done in another night or so. I'm gonna try to get started on my new links and link mounts this weekend.

Progress has been on and off for the past few months. I took vacation last week and knocked out a large portion of it. I'd say I probably have about two weeks worth of work left if I can stay after it. The rig is running now. The exhaust is comprised of Hooker headers, a universal 3" mandrel pipe kit from Summit that I pieced together, and a Flowmaster 50 series muffler. I cut off the collectors on the headers and opened them up to 3" and welded on v-band flanges. The front axle is pretty well done. The fuel system is done. I ended up going with a Goatbuilt fuel cell and a walbro 190lph factory replacement pump. Steering hydraulics are done. I'm running a van p-pump with external reservoir that I had to mount on the side of the York. I've completely rewired everything from front to back and it is about 90% done. I soldered every connection and used marine heat shrink tubing. Coilover mounts and air bump mounts are done. Here is what I have left to do...Plumb the brakes and clutch, build a skid plate, still have to wire the taurus fan and clean up some the wires that have been temporarily run, plate my knuckles, wrap the headers and exhaust pipe, make and mount body panels, charge my c/o's and air bumps, front limit straps, and probably a few other small things that I'm not thinking of. Here are a few pics and video of it running...

And the video...

Well, I've had her going since December. I've wheeled it a couple of times now and I'm still working out a few kinks. I've still got some tuning to do on the coilovers. The power steering has been a big issue. I've had lots of cavitation problems and pump whine. I just couldn't seem to find a p-pump that would work for me. I bought a KRC LS Truck pump kit from another member on here. However, I'm having some mounting issues with it. I dunno if there are many differences in the truck blocks, but shit isn't lining up and there is no info on KRC's website. It's on the back burner right now though. My heat pump took a shit on my house the other day, so I've gotta get that lined out. The power is absolutely insane compared to the 4.3. I also ditched the Icoks and picked up a set of used red labels. I don't think I have any new pictures, but here is a video from Bear Wallow back in February.
