I have only seen 3 new readers announced, and one returning.

From the instagram feeds it looks like most are on the road headed west for the start.

Not sure if it's intentional or not, but it seems like the coverage has lacked this year...

Lots of posts on instagram of day one. Is was a scorcher. One blown radiator, but no other carnage on day one. Back to the hotel in Phoenix tonight, then camping the next couple nights. Look for Grand Canyon and lake Powell on the plan.

Hell I can't keep my truck cool at 85-90, I couldn't imagine wheeling either one at 120+

oh man, wheeling in that kind of heat drains the soul.

It was that hot during UA2011 when I did it. I remember driving through Arkansas and put the infrared thermometer on my arm and it read 117.

and here I am sitting in 47 degree weather today!

Yea, the grande finale was Sand Hollow in southern Utah. Pretty epic day from the pics. They had their closing dinner and everyone is headed home.

UA was amazing!!! Sand hollow was the ending point, it was kickass and it's about a 6 hr drive for me. I will be back!!

I will update this thread and my personal H3 thread soon. Catching up on work and sleep. The H3 lasted through the week after logging just under 1900 miles from leaving for UA to driving home from UA. Time to unpack, catch up on work and sleep, go over the truck and get it ready to drive 6 hours to the rubicon next weekend for our yearly high Sierra trip.

UA is something I recommend to everyone, even without the wheeling it's awesome to hangout with the legends of UA and like minded wheeling people. The wheeling just makes it even better.

It was great meeting you Dave, the amigo is kickass!! I love the oddball rig and different suspension setup.

Hummer is unpacked and cleaned. Changing out the leaking pinion seal, going over a few things and getting it ready to hit the rubicon next weekend.

I should be wrapping up the truck this weekend and start documenting the trip.
