NEW KING?

So, is this the year we get a new king? Wayland has knocked on the door, Horschel lead most of last year before fucking up in the rocks, the Gomez Bros are right there. Last year we were on the ridge above Melville dry Lake watching the leaders come back to Hammertown, where the dry lake transitioned to to regular desert everyone lifted except Levi Shirley. He kept the engine at wide open throttle and just kept fully getting it. The past kings better be ready to welcome some new blood.

This year the course will have more rocks, and more difficult. The desert will be jacked from the trucks. I see the desert killing more cars than it normally does.

This race is won in the rocks. You just need to get through the desert in the top 20 to and be smooth in the rocks to win. I don't see Loren winning, he'll kill the car in the desert. He's also only won in SA cars. The Gomez cars are dialed and tough, and Wayland is able to save the car. I think they're the only people that have a chance of taking it from Jason, Randy, Miller, or Shannon.

Also an under dog that will get a top ten is Dan Fresh. Also Bailey Cole in the top ten. Both have more seat time in JV than most.

Thatís funny you said that about Loren, didnít he say several years ago when he got his first IFS car that the main difference was that he couldnít tell when he was hurting the car because he was used to just pushing until it was painful to ride.😆

I think this year is going to be nuts and crazy fun to watch. The pay out is going to make people really push. Should be exciting.

Tom's car is done. He's been out at the Hammers testing.

I will go with Levi, he has managed top 10 several times and 3rd one year. Plus I think he just put in another engine with more HP.

How about Cody in his IFS/IRS car. Should be pretty dialed in.

I am looking at Jordan Pellegrino to be in the top 10 with his new IFS/IRS car.

Speculation is fun.

Don't sell Josh Blyler short.

Those Miller cars are dialed.

More HP at the hammers is what will take him out. Jason won last year with his smaller motor.

Cody's car is dialed and one of the best cars I've been in, in the rocks. He also has Wayne riding with him this year. But he has to make it to the rocks first.

Jordan's car is my favorite car. But Jordan is hard on parts. I see him killing that car.

I also think the Miller chassis are one of the best choices for KOH. Especially this year.

cody struggles to keep pace in the dezert, so his advantage in the rocks is lost.

jordan will be fast and will only get faster in as he matures as a driver. part of that is keeping the car alive as well as working out the bugs of new equipment. i give it 2 years before he is on the podium and maybe the top step.

Millers cars are dialed, and them line mountain boys bring it for sure. Chad Owens is a dark horse for a top 10

Miller and Slawson better be working on a IFS design, because it is going to be hard to be competitive with a SA moving forward.

^^Agreed after watching how much better the IFS cars handle the rocks on the front rock section at Reno. Slawson really struggled there.

Two cars in the top four finishers last year? Josh on his second (or first?) KOH ever? Yeah... Let's do this.

Both.

I was asking if his new car was finished. Hearing that it is and that he has been testing... tough to count him out.

Rob McKenney is his co-dawg. He rode with him previously at KOH when Tom had a 2-seater.

That new car Jordan has is going to be fast, but it will take a year or two to learn how to drive it, Tom needs to not take short cuts to have a chance, all the other Kings know how to win so don't count out any of them, Now onto who I think will win this race Gomez brothers will win this years race.

I'm going with Jason or Waylon this year. I like Tom's new car, but the other two are so methodical, if they don't break, I'd say it's going to be one of these two.
