how BIG are these things? the overal length width and heigth of a bobbed deuce?
also how much would it be for one that looked just like the one in the pic you posted? with the bed?
and tires?
do they come in as good of condition or are these gonna be a restoration project?

I think they are 20' long without a winch. We are doing another one right now- I can measure it when done if you need exact measurements. But they are about 100" wide and about 9' tall.

One in the pic is about $8500 with winch, about $7500 without. They are in good condition.

We use a M105 trailer bed-- I think it is 9' long. The stock deuce bed is 12'9".

If you want some more bobbed pics send me an email to [email protected] and I will reply with some.

Can you run 53's on those? What top speed increase to?
Do the $2500 trucks you sell usually need more work, or are they just trucks that aren't popular, like non turbos non multifuel?
I am really interested in them but i don't want one i have to immediately work on lol

You can put 53s, but they may rub if you dont lift the truck.

The $2500 trucks sometimes need a little TLC, or maybe I picked them up a little cheaper. But they are all turbos. Some have been converted to diesel only, but that doesnt change the price. The best trucks go for more.

I dont always have a $2500 truck for sale. Most of the $2500 trucks you can drive home.

Whats the major differences in driving them as opposed to, say, a mack dump truck? And where do you get replacement parts?

Parts are easy!

I never have driven a Mack truck.

Mack drives much better and has about 20x the pick up of these. I've rocked both. Most Mack trucks are triple air or at least air ride cab / seat. These are springs on the axles, springs on the seats and cab bolted to chassis. It is however very easy to add a/c to these bad boys which I would do. Mine will freeze you out on 1 in the hot Florida sun. I won't whore up this post with mine unless hundy is cool w/ it.

Parts are easy but you really don't need anything.

Re spring. Any spring shop can either add springs (stiffer but taller) or re-arch the springs. We do this all the time. You could go up 2" for probably 500 bucks, maybe less if your spring shop likes the project.

Yes you could drive it back *IF* you have a dealer plate or Hundy will send the SF97. Tag and title work is easy. As for insurance I have no idea we have commercial insurance on ours.

Yes they have horns and they sound 100% gay. I upgraded ours to regular truck air horns (or train horns for those with balls).

no problem, no problem bumping for some cool toys. I get a chubby everytime I see you post up a new project. Like a kid in a candy shop.

If you ever need any info on military trucks (mostly 5 tons) let me know. I buy 5 or 10 of them a year for our rental fleet.

You would love my yard! Usually about 20 trucks and as many trailers plus a shiyload of other vehicles!

I dont know if you saw it or not- but here is a pic of a 5 ton M818 that we removed the 5th whl hitch and custom shortened a deuce dropside bed to fit, then put 53" tires on !

I "kinda" built it for myself, but a guy bought it really before I could even drive it!

That's sweet. I like how you set that up. I'm not sure how but I'll try and PM you a pic of our trucks (not one to whore up a sellers thread).

That would ride like complete crap. Our 5 tons ride ok with about 4500 gallons of water on board otherwise it's pretty rough, I can bet with the shorter wheelbase it would be rough too.

Suspension? Did someone say something about a suspension..or lack there of. You're right, it would be pretty rough....kidneys wouldn't live long. I was thinking more along the lines of a plow (snow) truck. I'm still playing with the idea of a bob'd deuce for my plow work.....but finding a plow setup seems like the hard part. And not sure what it would be to ship a bob'd deuce to my area....01056?

How long does it take you to bob one of these? I've seen a couple good deals on some rigs lately. If I pick one up I'll have you do it.
