Baja Pre-runner VW Thing, 4 seater, LS1, Mendeola...etc. Ca. Street legal!!

Tossing around the idea of selling my prerunner. Just not using it enough and it scares the kids. Four seater, though the back is tight. I've had 6'2 235lb guys in the back.....they probably wouldn't want to prerun a whole course back there.
This car was Pro built by CastleFab. Roughly $90,000 to build. Full chromoly chassis, 400+hp LS1, Mendeola 2d with all upgrades, race prepped 935cvs and mid board hubs, Fodrill King Kong front end, Beard seats, Parker pumper, GPS, Baja designs HID's, power steering, Race radio and 4 seat intercom, etc...the list is looong.
The car itself is a 73 VW thing body draped over the chassis to allow for the Ca. license plates. No smog check needed ever. Craziest thing is driving this thing thru town. The looks it gets are priceless.... and yes, it WHEELIES!
Serious inquiries and I'll come up with a list of all the goodies..
$42,000 obo
I'de consider trades of a clean 4 seat crawler or a backhoe and cash.

Here's a few pics-a few show FOX shocks...it will come with FOA all around.

I don't suppose you could show a picture of the steering on that front suspension setup? I'm baffled and can't wrap my head around it.

Nice car for sure.

I've always admired this Thing. If I hadn't just graduated college I would be hard pressed not to buy it. Good luck with the sale.

My old man has the original VW Safari (that's what they're called here).

If it was cheaper I would buy it.

Cool machine.

Throw some food for thought details out there. What ratios in the trans, inlcuding the final drive r&p?

Motor specifics? Did I see a dry sump tank somewhere?

All reasonable offers considered...(already turned down $30k, so don't go there). I'de consider a trade plus cash.
