B-Pillar. (Obviously one tube still needs to be welded.)

Cage passing through firewall. I was meticulous and used a 2" holesaw and careful measuring to pass them through. This took more time upfront, but is much cleaner quicker in the long run than repairing large holes cut for easy fitment.

looks great. I wish I had the tools and patience to do work that nice. I guess i'll stick with my straight corner gussets. Looks great so far, lots of planning went into it, and it shows.

Here is a sneak peak at the new Polyperformance XJ Suspension kit. It includes replacement rear leaf spring mounts & channels that stiffen the from from the link mounts to the spring mount. There is also a plate is used for the cage mount. The exterior plate comes with a hole that is used to drop the cage through and get the 360 weld. A large gusset (Not shown) is welded from the exterior plate to the link mount bracket once the cage is done.

How much is it going to weigh when you are done?

Not sure exactly, but we will keep it under the SCORE requirement for 2" tubing. We removed as much as we could to save weight and still be Jeepspeed legal. All the glass is out, no window cranks or mechanisms, no AC, no Heater box, stock dash removed, etc. I will get it weighed as soon as it is all done.

Here is a shot of the cage before install. We mocked it all up and then removed it. It was then re-installed in one day and most of the welding was done.

Yes, and it can be 1026 DOM or Chromoly. Is there another rule you were referring to?

The American Racing rims that I was boring out and spot facing down at Poly are on the rear as the 9" is 5 on 5.5. I still have the D30 up front. The HPD44 is not done yet, and Drew wanted to design the suspension so that it would work on the stock D30.

1020 DOM is also acceptable.

those are obviously MIG welds. Look at the stop / starts on the curved gusset.
