front axle for a 95 dodge 2500 4x4

I want to up grade the front axle on my 95 dodge I have not done a thing to it other than simple maintenance like brakes oil changes since I got it in 98 . It has now 208k miles on it . I never been real happy with the front brakes on it or the taper sealed unit bearing . I want to up grade the front axle to better brakes and at least new bearings and u joints brake rotors. . I also going to change to the better front steering components . I realize this is not a cheap deal but its better for me than forking over large amounts of cash for a new truck . So is there a good way to go , may be a late model front axle with the same gear ratio . I have the 3.54 I think not the 4.10 . I don't want a low geared truck now or ever . I would do the ford conversion and have not a problem with the hub sticking out a bit more . Thanks for any advice

As far as I know, the free spin Ford axle is the best brake upgrade because of the dual piston caliper.

Ok so the 02 front axle will bolt in . I think years ago I saw where some one installed 3 gen brakes on a 02 I think . If I can bolt in the front axle housing and it all fits then great I can add Timken I think seems like I can just use the ford spindle by welding up and re drilling or seems like I read some where on that . I need to do some checking on that one . Sure do appreciate the help

My has a 2001 truck he told me come down and look at it to see if I want the front axle . So I going to remove it if its a 3.54 gears and I think it is hope lol and then I going to install 3 generation rotors and calipers and what ever it takes use the better brakes. I remember some where I think that I can use the ford spindles and just weld up holes and drill or mill the holes in there so I can use the ford hubs and Timken bearings or I hope that's right and then install the axle in place . get rid of the crappy steering linkage and use the 98 or 99 components . I need to do some research to be sure on this . Any advice is great thanks
