Ohm's law: use it to calculate electrical characteristics.

Common use in 12vdc wiring is to calculate Power and Current, to size wires correctly, and choose batteries and Alt upgrades based on predicted loads.

Takes the guess work out of it.

V=Voltage (Sometimes referred to as E=Energy)
I=Current (Sometimes referred to as A=Amps)
R=Resistance
P=Power (Watts)

Calculating with Voltage
V=IxR
I=V/R
R=V/I

Calculating with Power:
P=IxV
I=P/V
V=P/I

Google it for examples.

Been trying to find fuzes/fuze holders and breakers for use in wiring my buggy.

it's a scooter site, but many parts & pieces seem like they would be usefull;

TNC Scooters

prices don't look too bad, will update on the quality when I put an order in.

I've been using these for a while and they are awesome.

they are compatible with ATC/ATO fuse blocks, reset manually and can quickly be identified as tripped by visual inspection.

some good information and a solid post with links from Steve83 on wiring dual batteries, some isolator vs relay vs straight parallel information as well. Adding to the FAQ because I couldn't find this info with a search on here
