I know it was a while back but do you have any info on the Kubota diesel you were going to put in the CJ5, like what it came out of and how to adapt it to what transmission. Thought of doing that before, those little Kubotas run sweet. By the way, you guys suck, you're too young to be so smart and having so much. Keep up the great work.

Wow. Just finished the WHOLE thread...

I really like the idea of using the 5th wheel and being able to just slide on what "bed" you plan on using.

Any more thought been put into how to drop one of the boxes or beds off in the field?

If you fuckers actually took a second to read the words rather than knee jerk reacting to the pics, you might have a clue what his plan is.

Ongoing problems with neighbors/city/county/law enforcement regarding storage forcing sale of the majority of our large collection of military vehicles. Too much time and money spent moving, so we've priced everything for quick sales, and we'll adjust prices as we recover from moving expenses. So please take a look and give us a call sooner than later if you see anything you like...

The sherriff has to issue the conceal carry permit. Based on the article, i don't think he's signing off on that...

I'd make the ugliest fence imaginable.

Posts, cable and those lovely blue tarps. Maybe reinforce it with some orange plastic snow fence.

Jesse,

I've been wanting to ask you about the sand blasted frame. Any regrets as to blasting all the parts together. Sand in the brake drums, etc. I'm wanting to do the same, but worried about the grit. Any thoughts.

Very enjoyable tread, thanks for posting.

Dang...i just spent the better part of the day reading this. Have to say, I dig the original white mah duece, would have loved to have seen the camper with the original rack go on there. I just retired from the military after 20 years and live not too far from you, Jesse (I am in Yuba City). Can't wait to see what you might do with some of the surplus from today's inventory when it comes to public auction (some of our MRAPS are pretty cool). I share your love of sailing, I hope to do what your grandfather did one day, when the kids are grown and out of the house.

Looking to buy 5-10+ acres of land in CA. Budget is $300k with up to $100k cash to put down up front, ideally owner would finance balance. Ready to buy right now. Not a investor/developer or grower, just want to buy some land where I can build/live off-grid. Have had to move 4-5 times in the last few years, mostly because of problems with zoning and code enforcement related to a large collection of military vehicles and heavy equipment.

Currently in Gilroy and would prefer to stick around this area if at all possible. Anywhere out around Mt. Madonna, Redwood Retreat, Casa Loma, Loma Chiquita, Summit, etc. would be ideal. Santa Cruz mtns would be okay, willing to look at anything up toward Boulder Creek or down the coast a ways further too. Would also consider relocating to Grass Valley / Nevada City area if we found the right piece of property out there, but farmers are paying stupid money for land right now and don't wanna chase that bubble.

Yeah, we ended up buying some land way out in the cut, hoping problems with neighbors & local govt/zoning/code enforcement/law enforcement/etc. are all behind us...
