Thanks.
It's a regulated return setup.
Inline fuel pump on the frame rail to a fuel water separator-> cat 1r0749 fuel filter-> y block-> into back of the heads-> out the front of the heads-> fuel pressure regulator-> return to tank ( might run it through a small cooler for shits and giggles.

It's all -4an to/ from the heads and I think I'll run 3/8" synflex for the fuel supply. With the injectors I'm planning on running ill have a mild 400rwhp.

hot return fuel is good in case it gets somewhere cold. Never heard of it causing issue on a diesel.

It was a thought.
Got my bellowed up pipes and ebv delete resistor. Resealed my oil cooler too. Just a few little things till I drop it in and start front tube work. I do need a stock v band for the turbo inlet and compressor outlet if anyone has one.

Fixed a broken exhaust bolt with a stud.

I heard from some engineers at John Deere that running a cooler on an engine that has fuel gallies in the head is bad because cooler fuel has more horse power. But as it flows it picks up heat in the head and will cause the cylinder power to be unbalanced with the same delivery from the nozzles.

Dropped the engine in today. The sd turbo made it a bitch to get in there but it's in.

Sounds like something an engineer would say...
but i doubt fuel can be cooled significantly since it comes out an injector that has 200* oil passing through it

is the only difference on sd turbo the turbine housing a/r ratio and v band clamps?

This is actually a non wastegated van turbo. I deleted the warm up valve. I actually used my old compressor wheel in this turbo. But yeah v band vs t4i and the height. I also went to bellowed up pipes.

The obs turbo is better than a sd turbo but I want to upgrade to a gtp38r later so this makes it a bolt in.

I got the dash in. That's about it. I need to buy a front link set but I bought a 04 dodge 3500 4x4 for 1000$ so I'm trying to catch up. Tax retuns will probably net me the extra cash to finish it.

Cleanest regulated return setup I've seen, very nice build.

What size injectors are you running?

Keep at this thing, i know you have a few other projects. Makes me want to find an extra cab powerstroke, so i can tow it with my 97 crew cab! Id always have extra parts laying around! Nice truck, hope to see this version done soon.

Did some work finally. I need to plate in the frame on the upper link but everything is tacked in place and has been cycled a few times. I had to move the panhard as close to the truss as I could. The panhard rod and steering are exactly the same length. They're really close to the same angle too. I measured the full droop and the steering heims max out at about 17" and I'm going to strap it around 15". Lower links are about 34" and the upper is about 44". It looks like it keeps the pinion angle really good throughout travel.

I cut in the passenger side bumpstop and I'll get the drivers side done later. I'm taking a break.
Full bump

Full droop

Got the drivers side bump in. I still need to plate to outer part of the bump pad and add a gusset inside first. I put this side lower as where it hits the truss is lower and the steering shaft is in the way.

It moves like 3/8" during the 4" of bumpstop travel.
