V8 swap question

I have a 2.8 currently wanting to know if I should go with a 5.0efi or a 302 and need to know what I should do to go along with the swap

If you want EFI, you'll need to swap in the fuel system from a later rig with EFI since the 2.8 is carb'd, and doesn't have a return line or high pressure supply line.

Carb'd 302 is easy, and I did that first. Now I'm going 5.0 EFI.

My ride height went up 1/4" when I went from 2.8 to 302. I was using explorer front coils though. A 302 isn't much heavier than a 2.8, and is real close to a 4.0.

Go research on therangerstation.com

Ok that's more what I was looking for because I've found a 1994 f150 auto 4x4 for 500 so I would have most of what I need for the swap. I have a picture of my "creation" on therangerstation.com if you'd like to take a look at it my profile is has the same name but if you have any ideas on what I should do I'm all ears or eyes....whatever you know what I mean

EFI rocks but changing over has a lot of little expenses involved. If you like simplicity and don't really need a lot of extra power, a Motorcraft 2150 is a solid carburetor for offroading.

I would have likely stayed with a carb on my truck if they made something that could feed 473 cubic inches and not flood every time you tried to climb a hill or go off camber. 5.0s make it pretty easy though, so there's not much of a reason to not use the stuff from that F-150. Part the rest out and you can probably pay for the whole thing.

He'll have to swap to a car EFI intake unless he wants to run no hood.

Won't be enough to clear the truck intake.
