I don't know why I'm subscribed to the welfare duty, but not this. I love full-size ferds, and ones that live in moose country are even more relevant to my interests!

was worried it was going to be way to big but now that its out of the shop it actually has a nice stance and not to big. still cant get over how short it looks as 44s look crazy big and cartoonish on it

Nice job! Happy to see it out and about. Bummer the joint still binds at the case, i may be in the same boat. Maybe i should just order the offset joints now and get it over with lol. Too bad about the pinion bearing too, but that just means that you're real close now!

think the only reason im still having binding at the tcase is cause i clocked it up to get a flatter belly, im sure if i didnt do that it would be fine

was fully expecting the truck to be a gutless wonder and it actually did ok for being a tired 351 with 44s and 4.10s. was able to drive around in 2wd and 4hi for the mild stuff and could get the tires turning no problem in 4low. might be a different story once spring comes or find some deeper snow as was only about a foot deep. hoping i can just change one or two pinion bearings if thats the problem and wheel the winter on it then re gear in spring time.

I will not be there and I don't think I know anyone that will be. I will be at KOH though if you know anyone that will be there.

looking for little info on motor stuff for this truck as its been well over 10 years since i worked on one of these trucks. looking for a little extra power and was given a set of Mac headers but they are for a 302 truck not a 351. i know the pass side collector is at a different angle so would have to re work my Y pipe to make them work. what im not sure about is the egr tube on the 351 comes off the front of that pass manifold but the 302 headers do not have that. can i just block off the egr and delete it all? been doing some reading this morning on deleting the egr and so much mixed info as people say just fix it if broke as smog test blah blah blah. dont need any of that crap here so can i just take the valve off and block the intake and plug any other lines and be ok. yes im sure ill have a check engine light but already have that from removing the air pump system so thats not an issue

and just cause heres a pic of the 302 mac headers i was given

Just remove the EGR if you don't mind the CEL. It will be fine.
Look into putting a 302 truck upper on in place of the 351w upper. It will require porting, but is budget-friendly. The 351w upper intake is garbage and the 302 upper flows much better.
With the heads an adjustable fuel pressure regulator should also be a consideration along with injectors and a computer from a 460 truck (assuming you stick with Ford speed density EFI).
All relatively inexpensive and give you a bit more hp.

like said dont care about the light on as already have it on from removing the smog pump system. thats good to know about the 302 truck intake on the 351 as i have that other 351 motor so could port the lower to match a 302 upper. was thinking of just buying the edelbrock lower and then their mustang upper when i want to get little more crazy. have been talking to a good friend of mine as he was big into fox body mustangs and had a 347 that was good for 500hp. he converted back to SD from mass air with a megasquirt system for tuning and cost. i see no reason you cant tune the SD as most aftermaket efi kits are all SD and will support lots of hp and wilder cams. for now id like to just do the headers and maybe the intake as that can be done on the truck while i build my other motor and then swap it all out

Better have a huge waste gate(s) that's a lot of cubes for that turbo. 2 of them would be probably good.

was just myself, the ramcharger and the welfare duty
