well, ran great (other than rich) all week. I just played tailgunner so everyone didn't have to choke on my fumes.

Blackbear was TIGHT this year for this fat girl. sidewalls rubbing the cliff on the uphill side, and passenger tires on the road with less than 2" to spare on the downhill. Wife was puckered.

18 month update

New tuffy console installed. I think that doubled the value of the pig right there.

New (used) 351w is being delivered from Denver this week.

New (used) 37 x 13.50 x 15 pitbull rockers purchased

New 15 x 10 x 3" BS wheels ordered.

Timing chain, gears, water pump, intake manifold gaskets, exhaust manifold gaskets, radiator hoses, idler pulley, oil pan gasket, bypass hose ordered.

Gutted set of doors purchased to make some half doors.

Grounded kid to sand/paint soon.

It's gonna be like a whole new truck this year! I'm excited for its 12 year refresh.

Mounted up the tires and wheels yesterday. Going to have to do some trimming in the front for sure.

Also got the motor stripped down, cleaned, painted, and parts ready to go back together this week.

I'm also going to add a door in the bottom for storage. great place for jumper cables, tow straps, the wifes purse, etc.

MAP sensor hooked up to a good vacuum source?? ECT all good? The ECT will default to -40 causing a rich concern is it's not working correctly.

MAP good.
TPS good
O2 good
ECT good
Vacuum good
fuel pressure good and not leaking down
Compression good.

I'm literally at a loss on this one. Only thing left is to replace the harness and ECU. All suggestions welcome.

It's not uncommon for 30+ year old ECUs to fail, especially on offroad vehicles. Corrosion is the usual culprit. Pull it out and see what it looks like.

Almost looks like a semi respectable truck with doors on it. Havent seen them on in 14 years.

Gotta go to u-pull and get some hinges. They apparently walked away sometime since removal.

Steering box has been leaking for a few years so thought I'd address that real quick. It had a different idea. 20 minute job turns into a couple hours, every...dang..time.
