Snow at Fordyce Lake?

Has anybody been up to Fordyce Lake since the last storm? Any snow there or down Committee?

No snow at Fordyce Lake, there was a little snow just up the road towards cisco, and the weather was coming in when we left at 10am.

Here's a bunch of i80 weather cams to give you an idea

We went in saturday afternoon stayed below winch hill 1 for the night. Made it out to fordyce lake around 3 pm sunday with about a foot on the ground. Dragged a guy not prepared from fordyce lake to cisco who was driving an xj that lost a tire, then a broken tie rod and even more carnage after that. we got him and his family safely to the fuel station but cannot same the same for his jeep. I will try to post some pics later.

Dang, that accumulated quickly, I'm glad we got out of there when we did. My tow rig is over due for tires and was having traction issues in the rain, snow would have been scary

Beautiful up there. About 2-3" of powder all the way up to eagle lake. Half of it melted on the way down.

I was up at Yuba Gap today, wheeled to within 1 mile of Cisco grove and there was at least 2' of snow and it was coming down strong. There should be some decent snow right now.

It started dumping just after 6am at Fiordyce Lake.

Just enough to make packing up a wet PIA.

From Sat.

Yes I believe rattlesnake is still open but I would call cisco to confirm. That last storm was only a day and with sun all week you should be fine.

Sign in the office at Cisco says the tentative closure date for Rattlesnake is December 1st but call to check. I was up there yesterday and the foot or so of snow we got Sunday is melting. Still spotty coverage.

Sunday on the way out about a mile from the campground and at the parking lot. All the snow was gone off the roof yesterday and the parking lot was half clear.

I was going to head up there this weekend also.
what is rattlesnake?
I have been through fordyce twice but I am not familiar with the surrounding trails and slang.
I don't want to drive all the way down there if I am not supposed to be on the trail.
thanks guys.

rattlesnake rd. is the dirt road that goes from Cisco Grove to Fordyce Lake, where you would then go down to committee crossing to hit middle of trail

what day are you hitting trail? we will be there Friday about mid day
