Fordyce fire?

Just drove past eagle lakes exit and on the left side there was a forest fire kicking up. Fire looked like it was where the staging area is for the trail. Anyone know anything?

Our club put out a fire a few years ago just down the trail from the staging area a few years ago. Fire pit left by some irresponsible camper while the king was burning. Stupid!

I came out of the trail at the Eagle Lakes side at about 5:45 and didn't notice any campers. Maybe it started from the campground down by the river?

Fire was basically at the exit of the Cisco grove 5$ bypass trail. Looks like it could have started from power lines? Fire was directly under them.

Looked like it burned hot and fast and only about 2 acres just between the exit and the rock climbing wall. All the FS equipment was done on Sunday and noon and one lane of the road was open due to the equipment.

Not one rig in the parking lot at Eagle Lakes at noon on Saturday. Was creepy to see it empty and had the whole trail to WH1 pretty much to ourselves. Phone was dead on the way out so didn't get any pics of the fire area.
