Camping on eagle lakes side?

Whats camping like on the eagle lakes side of the trail? Was thinking of going to meadow for the 4th, but the last i heard its still buried under snow? So whats it like camping along the eagle entrance somewhere? Also how much trail is there to be ran before the 1st crossing? Only been up there once and it was from meadow, we ran down the the crossing after commitee and turned around there.
Thanks in advance.
Also what other trails are up there? I know theres signal peak off of eagle lakes road as well?

Went in last week. Go as slow as you can because there’s not much wheeling once you get there except go up and down the waterfall 10X.

Lotsa roomfor camping.

What do you mean? Is the trail not passable yet?

1st creek crossing was not passable last week with 890 at the dam, plus the runoff. Still snow on North Facing Slopes just above the camp spot across the creek.

Even at 300 at the dam I wouldn’t attempt crossing. I keep playing that video of the daisy chain of 4 rigs at Committee in my head, and double it.

I was just thinking about snow drifts.

But ya, I get that, 300 at the dam is a lot once you add all the run off by the time you get to the first crossing.

You can go to Pearce creek ohv from there. Signal Peak is still covered in snow. I don't think there's lots of room, especially on a busy weekend. I'm planning on going up Rattlesnake as far as I can tomorrow.

So really not a whole lot of wheeling from eagle side without being able to do the first crossing?
May just end up at the rubicon then. Or alpine/slickrock
