Other Trails near Fordyce

Looking for other trail suggestions near Fordyce or Truckee. I know there are several decent trails southwest of Tahoe, but I really don't want to run those and then have a several hour drive back north to get near Fordyce.

I see tons of roads on the MVUMs, but are most of them just fire roads? Looking for something moderate to difficult to tackle between running Rubicon and Fordyce.

Any suggestions? Any good sources for such suggestions?

group of us did Fordyce, Rubicon and Ershim Dusy on the same trip. There was some freeway miles between Rubicon and Dusy, but it wasn't bad. Been a few years now.

Deer Valley is a nice trail, lots of rocks, narrow with a couple creek crossings and ends at lower blue lake. Access of Ebbetts pass which is worth driving itself for the views.

Thatís a hell of a wheeling trip.
