Maybe it takes longer than a week to get a test set up? Just guessing

Ok we had our U-joints tested. I'm certain it came from the same batch as Carl had tested. I'm not sure what happened there. But these are the results that we received from a local testing company that does alot of testing for Boeing. They said that it was 4340 Modified Chromoly. The same as 300M. At 300,000 Tensile strength. The very first batch the machinist made where the trunion post comes off the body of the U-joint, where the seal area is, they machined it square instead of a radius, like the sample we gave him. I didn't notice it until after we shipped some out, that it would be a weaker stress point. So we tried to recall all we could. But some were out there and being ran. That is the 4 or 5 that have broken. I'm sure we have them all back now. We have replaced all that we know of being broken. So we had to throw the first 50 away. I'm sure all that are out there now are the lastest ones. Sorry it took so long, but we had to wait in line to get ours tested. If anybody has any questions about your U-joints call me anytime. 253-847-8254 or cell 253-279-8251 Thanks Bobby

Sounds like Bobby and Carl should each send each other a chunk of the joint they have tested and have their respective labs retest.

I was there.
Broke my front D44.

That is a good idea, but the samples are probably gone.

I would have no problem with buying any of their products, because they actually care about what they sell. Unlike some other manufactures; :motherfucknrollingaryeyes: If I only had more money.

Emmbros strikes again!

The Dana Joints are made by Emmbros in India. They are the original factory that made the Super Joint so expect that sort of quality.

Dana Spicer late to the off-road market. Looks like an exact copy of the yukons.

I talked to the spicer aftermarket people today, at least for now they are only making up to 1480 size joints.

Fairly certain that CTM can/does make 1550 u-joints. They also have a 100 series joint that I believe is larger than 1550 and designed to fit in 1550 knuckles based on what I have read.

I wonder if the patent has expired or will there be a legal battle? My Yukon axles, Superjoints, and LP Jana 76 have not failed me so I will stick with them.
