Warn Premium hub play

79 D60. Thought it was in my ring and pinion. It isn't. I can turn the front drive shaft by hand and the axle shafts will move immediately, front welded. There is quite a bit of play in the hub. Haven't put my dial on it but seems excessive. I'm worried about sick loading and breaking the hubs. I have chromoly shafts.

I have searched and only found where people complain about then locking and unlocking on their own. anyone else had this issue?

There are 35 spline as well. Never had a problem with the 30 splines before. I took the cap off and the play seems to be between the hub body and the piece that moves.

Not a newbie, low post count because I search a lot.

They also haven't been run but maybe twice.
