I have a ARB RD35 with the copper line cracked off right at the actuator collar, can this be repaired? or do I have get a new one? Anyone have a good one
is it possible to push/pull the remaining peice of copper out of the collar, or is it brazed or something? If you can get the old peice out, clean up the broken end of the long peice and press that into the collar that would be cool. Don't know if its possible though
I am just taking a better look at this. No moving parts/seals in it. It looks like it was maybe silver soldered or? I think it can be repaired, any input, picts up now
It can be repaired by re-soldering the tube in place. I did it once, but got the seal housing too hot and warped it. Ended up out of round and had a small leak. I'm sure it can be fixed properly if you're careful. ARB sells them new for about $35.
