Hy there :)
I am currentely building a new rig for a customer.
Maybe you will like it.

Spec :
- engine V8 mercedes 230HP
- mercedes axels
- mercedes tcase and gearbox
- profender 14" air-shocks
- trail-gear steering
- 35" wheels
- and a lot of other things.

The idea is to create a small car, but with a "rock rod style".
The customer really want a small car. The total height is 63" !
Ground clearance : 18"
The budget is low, so we have to make a lot of choice...

Some pictures, it's of course not yet finished !
Normaly, it will be paint in a couple of week, and the first test during junary.

thanks,

For the visibility, yes and no.
Of course, the engine cover is just in front of you. So you see more or less nothing in front of the car...
BUT, the design of the rollcage give you a total visibility of the left wheel.
You can see completely the wheel without moving your head.
The right wheel is also visible. Less than the left, but it's OK.
So, at the end, you have the visibility that you need : where are your wheels.

For crixus, yes, it is. I try to give each time an antic name to my builds.
The last one was Agrippa, a roman hero. Build-up here :

Thanks for the differents comments :smokin:

It is Simex look like, but not real simex ;-)

Is there someone that can explain me why I should be a ******* ?
I have to say that I don't really understand the meaning...
From this side of the Atlantic, say to someone that he is a ******* is not really nice... (the french word could be "paysan" or "plouc").

I meant no disrespect Fabrice Just like Elwenil said it looks like a mini Tim Cameron buggy.
Besides I kind of think of ******* as a "Get it done and have some fun" kind of attitude...
Sometimes it is also a combination of stupidity and alcohol fueled bravery..:D

Great little rig! I love your tubework!

I don't imagine that you notice, but as a Yank I love the contrast between the brand-new badass buggies and the centuries-old shop they were built in. If they were built over here, it would have been in a sheetmetal barn thrown up 15 years ago. :D
