I couldn't find any good information on this so I thought we should start a thread on it. What are people using as far as brake lines on custom housings or any housings for that matter. Hard or braided, how are you mounting it to the axle, ect..... Let see some pics.
3/16" hardline with a hand-held pipe bender and XRP braided hoses, fastened down with a couple stainless steel brake line clamps after drilling & tapping a couple holes in the truss...
I do hard line with an Imperial bender, AN double flares with a Mastercool, tube nuts, and S/S flex lines or short OEM flex lines depending on my mood at the time.
Mostly SS hard line with short sections of Teflon braided line where it needs flexing. All -03or3/16", with single flare on the hard line. Way too easy.
There's a handful of brake line threads in the SHOP & TOOL section of the forum.
From line material, cutters to bender comparisons... a lot of great info.
(If I have some free time later I`ll dig them up and link them, I suggest searching based on my username for a quick find if I`m not fast enough for you  )
