Glad to see so much interest already, we've been holding off on starting this thread so we had a decent amount to start off with, wouldn't want to have you guys begging for updates because we are slow
We have a lot of sponsors supporting our efforts with parts, help, and services that this would not be even remotely possible without them. Every part we are using to build this car has a reason behind it, that reason is we need the best parts available, and those parts have proven to hold up to the abuse we put them through, pushing the limits in Ultra4 racing.
We aren't reinventing the wheel here, just building a fresh new car. The old car from Twisted Customs served its purpose extremely well, it went through a lot of improvements and changes over the past few years. After it was crashed at the Huseman Cup in September, it was decided that it's time to start over, something we've been contemplating for a long time now.
Using ideas from past experiences and a lot of other builders, we came up with a good plan, but time before KOH is limited and we aren't engineers, so we're mostly just figuring it out as we go :flipoff2:
So, obviously it's a solid front axle :grinpimp:
-Spidertrax Pro Series axle housings(10")
-Spidertrax Pro Series knuckles
-Spidertrax Pro Series Hubs
-Spidertrax Pro Series brake rotors
-Spidertrax 35 spline 300M axle shafts(even the front axle yokes are 300M)
-Fox Racing Shox, 14", fronts will be 2.0 coilovers, 2.5 4 tube bypasses mounted on the axle, rears will be 2.0 coilovers, 3.0 5 tube bypasses on trailing arms, Fox airbumps
-110"ish wheelbase
-1.25" FK heims in all the links, 7/8 FK heims in the steering, 1/2" FK heims in the swaybar links, and anywhere else we need heims, they'll be FK's
-4130 links, heat treated
-BTR Wheels
-39" BFGoodrich KRT B's
-Stroked LS3 built by Justice Racing Engines, with some good parts in it...more to come on that later!
-ported L92 truck intake
-custom SS headers and exhaust thanks to some help from Tim at LII
