Intake manifold ???'s

I got an Edelbrock Performer cheap BUT someone had ground out an inch of the center plenum divider. What affect will this have? Should I fill it in or just run it?

Are you talking about something like this?? If so thats something that edelbrock does so to increase CFM via enabling the left and right cylinder banks to pull from both t-body bores..

THis a performer dual plane manifold that was cast with the divider flush the carb mounting surface. Someone had ground about an inch out of the divider. If this won't negatively affect the performance I will clean up the divider in a mill and use it.

just run it. i think it's supposed to help the mixture for higher-RPM running. i'm no manifold guru though.

That is a poor mans 'Performer RPM'. It won't hurt performance, infact most articles I have seen say they work better all the way across the RPM range of the motor. In short run it!!
