No the LS6 will not work. You need an LS3/L99 intake. The LY6 is square intake ports like the LS3. The LS6 intake is cathedral ports and will not work.

Ok thx for clearing that up I've been searching PBB for answers couldn't find anything

So the ls3/l99 intake would be the best Intake for my motor

Best well it will work and is affordable. It will flow more than the truck intake on the top end, as for best. Well whats your budget?
A Fast 102mm square port intake is pretty good too!! Not cheap.
FAST LSXR 102mm LS3 Intake Manifold

Now you can get he LS3 one ported internal. Guy does it over on LS1tech. They have decent gains with the porting. But a stock LS3 one will work fine on a stock Ly6

Like Bo said you need an L99 or LS3 with square port heads. They are the same intake between the two engines. I have an LS3 intake mounted backwards on my LY6. Check LS1 tech and Ebay they are for sale often for around $300-350. Get one with the rail and injectors so you don't need to spend extra money piecing that stuff together separately.

The truck throttle body will bolt right on. You can either use a truck MAP sensor with a second o-ring, or a car MAP sensor and change the connector on the harness. If you mount it forwards you'll need to trim around the upper water neck, and trim a piece off the truck accessory bracket if you are using it. If you mount it backwards like I did you need to cut the oil pressure switch off the valley cover and fill in the hole, and move some wires around on the harness, no big deal. There's lots of info on LS1tech.com

Try calling places like Turnkey, Schwake, or CBM that might have some take-offs available.
