Talking Bought me a DODGE! pictures inside

I bought an '89 Dodge power wagon for $500. The guy selling it said, and I quote: "The rear seal does need to be replaced and once that is done then the truck would be fine."

I was thinking "How bad could it be? I'll just carry oil around and park on the lawn"

So I go check this thing out and sure enough, after running the thing leaks oil...A LOT of oil. So I'm under there, checkin shit out...expecting to see half the damn rear seal sticking out of the oil pan but nope! I looked around for a crack or hole in the block and I found this:

Short video of probing

Its a hole. You can tell by the dark, circular pattern. Its between the starter and the oil pan.

I'm not familiar with Dodge engines, where does that hole lead to?

I am going to go out on a limb and say that hole goes to the inside of the motor, that's why the oil pours out of it.

how about you start it and see where the oil is coming from!?!

maybe it will come out of that hole, maybe it wont. there is one simple way to find out.
