Daihatsu Rocky Engine Swap ?s.

A friend of mine is looking at buying one, but it has engine issues. With being a 4 year run, there isn't many used parts for them, as some of you already know that. My question is, can we use a Toyota 22r from 85-95? What about the ecu and the stock trans?

Thanks.

I always wanted a rocky. I had a buddy growing up whose parents owned a high end body shop, his first car was a 100% restored to showroom condition Rocky.

I'm thinking of using a 2000 Silverado 4.3 drive train, or going through the stock engine.

Thanks.
