bit hack job but:laughing::laughing:

took old hole saw and grinded the teeth out and sharpened edge from inside.
cuts lugs from boggers pretty easy.

Fuck it, looks a lot faster than other techniques I've seen. Depth of the saw is an issue. Could you open a side slot more to kind of eject/trim off each cut? Or adapt a piece of tubing to give it a deeper throat to make one continuous lug pass?

It looks like it does the job. I like the oscillating tool the best for lug removal though.

With a deeper hole saw you could take off a "hole" lug at once :D

looks like a solid way to do it. i like the depth you are able to cut with the hole saw. i would worry about it easily getting away from me if it had a longer cutting head aka more leverage. to avoid having to stop and fiddle with the lug chucks how about using a cut-off wheel to pre-split the lugs to be removed so you can use the hole saw to cut the lugs basically non stop other than shaking out the freshly removed lug chunks. keep up the great tool builds

Seen an electric limbing saw used too. More of a mess but works fast.

This is a great idea Imo. Like said above, the longer hole saw might get away from you. But instead of cutting vertically into the lugs with a cut off wheel, couldn't you just cut vertically into the lugs with the hole saw? Then the length of lug you cut horizontally would fit into the hole saw.

Yeah, that sounds better. Last thing anybody wants it out of control rotating equipment. Zag, I'm giving this a try when it comes time to buy the first set of tires for my buggy

i wound when i reach hole saw depht just tilt the saw upwards and it will cut the piece off and slings it away.

took 10kg/22lbs rubber out off 37" boggers.
hole saw worked great. didnt even try to cut the bottom smooth just made 3 passes for lug to leave some texture there.
